Privacy

The short version: the deal analyser runs entirely in your browser. The property prices, rents and figures you enter are never sent to us or anyone else. To use the analyser you create a free account with your email address — that email, and a count of how many deals you've run, is the only personal data we hold.
Your account
The analyser is free but sign-in is required. We use passwordless sign-in: you enter your email, we send a 6-digit code, and you enter it to sign in. We store your email address, the date your account was created, and a running count of how many times you've used the analyser (so we can offer a free tier and a paid Pro tier). A sign-in token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; you can sign out at any time to remove it. We don't store a password because there isn't one.
Your deal figures
All calculations happen locally on your device. The property prices, rents and costs you type in are never sent to us. Saved deals are stored in your browser's own local storage. We have no access to them, no copy of them, and no way to see them.
Email updates
If you sign up for updates, we store your email address and the date you subscribed, and use it to send occasional emails about changes to UK property rules that affect your numbers and about StackCheck itself. We don't sell, rent or share the list with anyone. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we'll delete you from the list.
Payments & Pro licences
If you buy StackCheck Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We store your licence key, the plan you bought, and the date, so we can validate your licence and help with support or refunds. When you activate Pro, your licence key is checked against our server; the key itself is stored in your own browser.
Analytics
We don't run any analytics or tracking scripts on this site. The only traffic information we see is aggregate, privacy-preserving statistics from our hosting provider (Cloudflare) — request counts and country-level totals. No cookies, no fingerprinting, nothing about you individually.
Cookies
StackCheck sets no cookies. Local storage is used only to keep your saved deals on your own device.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, whose servers process standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site securely. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Who we are
StackCheck is operated by Robert Brunt, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@stackcheck.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you (for almost everyone: an email address, your account created date and analyser usage count, and licence details if you bought Pro), ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
